My Week #23

Well, it has been a boring week… I have had nothing really to plan, so my Filofax was empty this week! Tw ogood things happened last week – I photographed a kingfisher, and I did the Race for Life! Hopefully next week will be a little more exciting!

Updated Filofax tabs.

A month or so ago, I posted about using my Motex embosser to label my divider tabs. All good in theory, but not great in practise! I should have used some sort of clear tape to cover the labels I think, because pretty soon they were sliding about and disappearing. You may have noticed in a couple of my ‘My Week‘ posts…

I decided that it was about time I got it sorted. I still had my ‘finance’ tab on show, and the information behind that tab was actually blog-related! To sort it out, I binned my beloved martha stewart sticky tabs (i need to find more!) and made new tabs out of card and washi tape. It was really easy – all I did was cut five tab shapes from the card, wrap them in washi and then glue/tape to the dividers that I already had. Then I just used a black pen to write on the labels. It looks so much neater now!

They’re not quite in line; I thought I’d stuck them on equally spaced, but photo evidence shows differently. Nevertheless, they’re working for me right now!

My Week #22

This week I did some extra shifts at work, and the Sunday also brought my last shift at Carlisle B&M. (until September!) It was a little strange leaving, knowing that I wouldn’t be back on the Saturday! Will definitely miss the weekenders there.

Not much else happened really. With no uni now until September, I have nothing to do but read, play sims, eat, take photos and now, find more work!

My Week #21

I had a great time back at home this past week. Watched The Wind Rises with Phillip, as well as eating some good food and bouldering. My arms were still aching yesterday, after not climbing for around a year! Also visited Blackpool Zoo on the Wednesday and that was fun. Now I’m back in Carlisle and doing some short shifts at work throughout the week… The rest of the time will be spent relaxing!

My Week #19

Busy, busy! My exam went okay – not brilliant, not dreadful. Bit nervous to get the results. I still have two assignments due in this coming week, and then I get to go home for 5 days. So excited. Sick of being here now!

My Week #17 & #18

Well, two weeks behind… Oh dear! I have been very busy. The first week shows my last 7 days in Finland, and the week just past was busy with hopeless attempts at revising for my upcoming Animal Behaviour exam. I have discovered that if there’s a question on function, I may be half okay…

Last Monday I got to see McBusted in concert and they were amazing! It was such a fun show and I loved all the AV that they did. Always love seeing Mcfly live!

Last week also gave me my first LUSH party experience! It was really good, and I definitely loved having a face mask on whilst getting my hands/arms massaged! I bought myself the face mask that I tried on (Love Lettuce), as well as the Ultrabland cleanser and ‘Stimulating and refreshing’ hair shampoo bar. The latter claims that it will help hair growth. My hair grows at an okay speed anyway – I was just drawn in by the cinnamon and the fact that I had never tried on before!

And finally, I also did some extra work (including today) which proves to be a great way of procrastinating from exam revision… I like to get as much extra money as I can hahah.

My Week #16

I’m in Finland right now and this is a scheduled post… I may be updating my twitter/instagram with photos if you want to be nosy!

My Week #15

Had a nice week back at home, then two long days at work… And I’m off to Finland in three days! There will be a post up about that on Tuesday!

My Week #14

Well, this week has been a little strange. I’ve been feeling busy, but I haven’t really had a lot to do… Doesn’t help that my ribs have been hurting all week though! I’ve pulled something, bruised the muscle or possibly even cracked a rib. Who knows? All I know is that it’s really painful!

I tried to do some prettier writing, and I’m definitely going to try some more aha. I quite like how it looks! Also picked up camera equipment for my expedition. I have the Canon 7D and a 24mm lens to play with – they’re awesome! I’m really hoping to upgrade my 500D to a 7D. Possibly the (rumoured!) new one! It’s only 9 days until my expedition now, and I really can’t wait! Anyone ever been to the north of Finland? I’m talking about the ‘wilder’ areas, and the Arctic Circle hahah.

Other happy news – I’m going home tonight! Can’t wait to have a rest at home and see my family!

Tidy Desk Day – National Stationery Week 2014

This week is National Stationery Week, and each day has had a different theme. Today is Tidy Desk Day. Now I very rarely have a tidy desk. I will sort everything out, but very quickly random items will amass on the desk. Receipts, papers, pens, bobbles, tissues, medicines, moisturisers… The list goes on! Today I figured I would tidy everything up, and start afresh! (How long will it last?!)

Now I have also changed things around. What you can’t see on the photos is that I had a couple of notebooks behind my laptop, empty bottles and my pen pots. It was getting a little cluttered. The notebooks moved back onto their actual shelf, the bottles in the bin and I decided to stick my pen pots on the other side of the desk. I’m also using my 21st mug to hold bobbles, clips and moisturiser for easy access. Work lanyard/keys/pen have gone into the black drawers – here’s to hoping that I don’t forget them this weekend! All the random papers have been binned and my headphones have been put into a drawer.

Doesn’t it just look so much neater! Today I’m having a Disney film marathon through Netflix, and attempting to do more Animal Behaviour revision!

Apologies for the phone camera quality – I wasn’t originally going to do a blog post on it!
